Singapore can shoot milkyway? Seriously?

Although Singapore is one of the most severe light polluted cities in the world,  I had some success in shooting milkyway albeit not that kind of quality one would expect.

Places I had tried to shoot milkyway include:

  • Rail corridor near Bt Timah Station

  • Keppel Bay Bridge

  • Labrador Park

  • Sunset Way railway bridge

  • Marina Barrage green-roof

  • Open field next to Southhaven I

Success of any shoot would depend very much on prevalent cloud conditions as Singapore, for some reason, is ALWAYS very cloudy.  So only on some special occasions when the sky is clear, I would venture out to shoot.  Hence, it is impossible to pre-organize a shooting date.  The only thing I could do is to announce my shoot on my Telegram group "SG Milkyway Hunters" when conditions are favourable.  Anyone would be welcome to tag along by getting in touch with me through Telegram and it is totally FOC.
